The Board will be glad to learn to what extent

it will be possible for the Government of Hong Kong

to adopt these regulations, and to see that they are

complied with in respect of passenger steamers under

survey in Hong Kong for the proposed Special Class

Certificate. They would also be glad to have

information as to the officers who will carry out

the survey work, and their qualifications.

The Board desire me to state that a considerable

amount of supervisory work will arise out of the

application of the instructions relating to the survey
